BRADY — Funeral services for Darby Lindsay, 94, of Brady will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at the First United Methodist Church in Brady, with the Rev. Sheldon Johnson and the Rev. Alan Delafield officiating. Burial will follow in Live Oak Cemetery in Brady. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.
She died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009, at her home.
She was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Brady, to Frank Ogden and Julia Elizabeth (Rutherford) Ogden. She was married to Kenneth David Lindsay on Dec. 7, 1940, in San Antonio. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a homemaker. She was a member of the Library Board, and a library volunteer for many years.
Survivors include her son, Bob and wife Pam Lindsay of Coleman; daughter, Julianna Lindsay of Brady; sister, Mary Louise McKinney of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Doris Ogden of Abilene; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; and two brothers, Ben Hill Ogden and Frank R. Ogden.
