A Brownwood woman was arrested on a DWI charge following two-vehicle collision Sunday at the intersection of Fourth and Coggin.

Michelle Indrizzo, 39, is free on $3,500 bond, Brown County Jail records state.

According to officer Sky Self's report:

Self and officer Jesse Mares were dispatched at 6:02 p.m. following several 9-1-1 calls. Guardian EMS and Brownwood firefighters were already on the scene.

The vehicles involved were a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer, which had substantial front-end damage, and a car with massive rear-end damage.

Guardian transported the driver of the car with injuries that were not reported as serious or life-threatening.

The driver of the Trailblazer, identified as Indrizzo, was standing on a sidewalk. Self arrested Indrizzo after a field sobriety test, and she was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for a blood draw.

Indrizzo told Self she was on her way to a bar when the crash occurred, then said she had planned to go to a grocery store before going to the bar.

The accident, which happened almost directly in front of Guardian EMS, forced traffic to be diverted from the area.
