RISING STAR — The May Tigers bounced back from a season-opening defeat with a 68-0 victory over the longtime rival Rising Star Wildcats, who remained winless following Thursday night’s action.
The game, and a handful of others in the area, were rescheduled to Thursday night due to a shortage in the number of available officials.
Justin Howard rushed for two touchdowns and returned an interception for another, while Jared Howard scored on a kick return, interception return and reception. Dakota Chambers also recorded a pick six and ran for a touchdown.
Further statistical information on the game was not available Thursday night, but will appear in a future edition of the Bulletin.
The Tigers will host Newcastle (0-1) on Sept. 14, while the Wildcats venture to Trent (1-0).
