RICHLAND SPRINGS — The two-time defending Six-Man Division II state champion and top-ranked Richland Springs Coyotes extended their win streak to 32 games with a 46-0 home victory over Comanche Premier Thursday night.
The Coyotes (2-0) led 30-0 after one quarter and tacked on the final 16 points in the second period as the game ended at halftime.
Richland Springs amassed 210 yards of total offense — 142 passing and 68 rushing — and did not commit a turnover.
Comanche Premier (0-2) finished with negative 12 yards of total offense, minus 11 rushing and minus 1 passing.
Chance Bush completed 3 of 4 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 68 yards and two more scores.
Thomas Fowler connected on both his pass attempts for 35 yards with a 13-yard scoring strike to Gunner Mann.
Chris Munoz led Richland Springs with two catches for 57 yards and a touchdown, Ty Mann hauled in a 50-yard scoring toss and Patrick Phillips caught one pass covering 22 yards.
The Coyotes are slated to return to action at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 14 at Cherokee.
