EARLY The Early City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday and conduct a public hearing for the proposed tax rate for the 2012-'13 fiscal year.

In other business:

Police Chief David Mercer will give an update on plans for National Night Out, which is Oct. 2.

Mayor Bob Mangrum will declare the week of Sept. 17-23 as Constitution Week.

The council will consider approving the Early Economic Development Corp.'s expenditure of $12,371 to ONCOR for the Bruner Auto Group facility.

The council will consider approving the EDC's budget for the 2012-'13 fiscal year.

The council will consider approving a $1,500 funding request for the Children's Advocacy Center, contingent upon participation of other entities.

The council will consider adopting an ordinance setting temporary and construction zone speed limits on some roadways.
