Kelton Mote and Caghen Seider participated in the Texas Brigades summer leadership camps in June and July, in San Antonio. They were among 143 high school students that took part in this award-winning leadership development program.

The Texas Brigades’ mission is to educate and empower youths with leadership skills and knowledge in wildlife, fisheries, and land stewardship to become conservation ambassadors for a sustained natural resource legacy.

There are six brigade camps each summer; two Buckskin Brigades, two Bobwhite Brigades, a Bass Brigade, and the Waterfowl Brigade. Participants must be between the ages of 13 and 17, and submit a complete application for consideration. Dates for 2013 will be available later this fall.

Participants are available to give presentations to schools and civic groups. For more information, www.texasbrigades.org, or contact Helen Holdsworth, Executive Director, at (855)txbrigs, or via email at hholdsworth@texas-wildlife.org.
