GOLDTHWAITE — Graveside services for Loyd Lee Daniel, 87, of Burleson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at North Brown Cemetery with Alton Ashby officiating. Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home of Goldthwaite is in charge of arrangements.
He died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, in Burleson.
He was born March 1, 1925, in Mills County to Rufus Fred and Sara Teresa Carver Daniel. He was married to Martha Cox on June 2, 1945, in Comanche. He moved to Fort Worth from Mills County in 1947. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Burleson. He had worked as a maintenance supervisor for the Burleson Independent School District, and as a barber at the Air Force Academy in Colorado before returning to Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Daniel of Burleson; a daughter, Sherry Kale of Burleson; a son, Gary Daniel of Goldthwaite; a brother, Oda Daniel of Brownwood; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, including his twin brother Floyd Daniel, William Daniel and W.C. Daniel; two sisters, Gladys Stanley and Lucille Harris; a son-in-law, Jackie Kale; a daughter-in-law, Judy Daniel; and a granddaughter, Alesha Daniel.
