EARLY Early police released information about a weekend burglary arrest in the following email:

On Saturday at approximately 8:15 p.m., officer Amanda Williams and Corp. Brandon McMillian observed a vehicle sitting at the mini storage buildings in the 700 block of Longhorn Drive in Early.

As officers approached the grey 2006 Toyota, it attempted to flee the area. The vehicle stopped on Autumn Drive several blocks from the mini-storage building. Detective Mike McCoy went to check the storage building while officers were out with the vehicle and learned that three units had been broken into and the locks had been cut. The suspect had thrown a pair of bolt cutters as he turned onto Autumn Drive that was recovered by officers. Officers recovered several items of stolen property in the vehicle and located the cut padlocks that had been thrown from the scene.

The suspect, Eric Michael Ganos, 37, is from Killeen but also lived in Blanket with a girlfriend. Ganos was arrested on three charges of burglary of a building.

The Early Police Department has been investigated several storage building burglaries over the past four weeks that have occurred at several other locations in town. Evidence from those scenes will be compared with evidence from the Ganos arrest. The investigation is continuing.
