BALLINGER– Renovations of Complete Packaging, a building that will be hosting the Ballinger Clinic and Keel Drug Store will begin this Thursday, September 20, 2012. The project will be bringing new life to an old building, at a cost of $1.3 million.
The project, originally scheduled to start on July of 2012, was aiming to be completed by late 2012. The remodeling will start this week with the demolition of the interior walls.
The old building is in need a full renovation, and despite the construction works have not yet started, the hospital administration already had to deal with a water leak.
Last Monday night, at the Ballinger City Council, the construction permit was voted as presented, for interior work only.
The Complete Packaging Building is located at 2001 Hutchins Avenue, at the west end of the city. It is expected that the building hosts Keel Drug, currently in Downtown Ballinger, and the Ballinger Clinic currently located at 302 Third St.
According to a press release by the hospital board, the building has over 55,000 square feet and the approximate square footage of the project is 8,100. The new pharmacy will have modern facilities and a drive-thru window. The clinic will have six doctor offices and 18 examination rooms.
