Two circus companies will be bringing their shows to Brownwood in future weeks.
The Piccadilly Circus of Sarasota, Fla., will offer three shows at 1 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday at the Brown County Fair and Rodeo Grounds.
The Shrine Circus will present two shows at 5 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at the Brownwood Coliseum. A circus pre-party will begin one hour before each show.
The Piccadilly Circus advertises acts including the Cossak Warriors, Motorcycle Madness, Feed the Baby Camels and a free petting zoo and monkey funny farm. Its website is www.TheFunCircus.com, and is promoted as being from the producers of Ice Capades.
The Shrine Circus from Springfield, Mo., is billed as America’s original three-ring circus. Its website is 2012Circus.com.
Internet users who perform a search for these circuses may learn what patrons in other cities have read about the quality and value of the entertainment of various traveling circuses. Those comments may help potential members of the audience understand that not all circuses feature similar acts, and such information can help avoid patron disappointment.
