Funeral service for Janet Lynn Taylor, 52 of Fletcher, Oklahoma was at 9:30 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2012 at First Baptist Church Memorial Chapel at 501 SW B Ave., Lawton, Oklahoma with Pastor Joe May, and Barry Kindey officiating.

Burial was at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Eligin, Oklahoma under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gary Funeral Home.

Viewing was for the family and friends on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 10 a.m.

A special viewing and visitation for family and friends was at 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Mrs. Traylor passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2012 in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Janet was born on October 24, 1959 in Gould, Oklahoma to Wayne and Billie (Michael) Carpenter. She grew up in Gould where she attended local schools, graduating high school. She attended Howard Technical College for nursing in San Angelo, Texas. Janet was a Licensed Practical Nurse where she worked for over 28 years caring for patients. She worked in Lawton for Wackenhut Corrections and Victory Home Health and Hospice.

Janet married John E. Traylor on October 3, 1992 in Arlington, Texas.

Mrs. Traylor is survived by her husband John, of the home; her sons, Micheal Joshua May and his wife, Hillary, all of Altus, Oklahoma; Joseph Matthew May and his wife, Jessica, of Frederick, Oklahoma; Cody Allen Traylor, of Houston, Texas, and Joshua Wright, of Walters, Oklahoma; her brothers, William “Bud” Sutherland, of Crane, Texas and Waters Carpenter and his wife, Wanda, of Duke, Oklahoma, and Joe Carpenter and his wife, Renee, of Big Lake, Texas; her sisters, Marce Mathews and husband Darriel “Doc”, Sylvia Roberts and her husband David, all of Magnum, Oklahoma, and Lou Ann Roquemore and her husband John, of Fletcher, Oklahoma; she is also survived by her grandchildren, Cadan, Ryland, Kerrigan, Addison, Gracey, and Raylon, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandson, Gage May.
