BALLINGER– The County Clerk’s Office is now accepting applications for early voting by mail for the November 6 General Election. Along with the General Election for Federal, State, District and County Offices, there will also be elections for the City of Ballinger, City of Winters, Ballinger Independent School District, Winters Independent School District and the City of Miles.
A qualified voter is eligible to vote by mail if the voter: expects to be absent from the county of residency on election day and during the regular hours for early voting by personal appearance; is disabled; will be 65 years of age or older on election day; or is confined in jail but eligible to vote.
The last day to receive an application to vote by mail is October 30, 2012.
Any qualified voter will be eligible for early voting by personal appearance at the County Clerk’s office in Ballinger, beginning October 22 and ending November 2, from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
