Early JV 30, Ingram Tom Moore 6

The Early JV Longhorns improved to 3-2 with a 30-6 home victory over Ingram Tom Moore Thursday night.

Led by touchdown passes of 67 and 41 yards from Riley Mitchell to Christopher Johnston, the Longhorns dominated the game from start to finish. The Warriors were able to get on the scoreboard late in the first half as a result of a fumble by the Horns deep in their own territory, but were able to generate very little else in the way of offense.

Early’s defensive line, anchored by Bucky McDaniel, Weldon Edwards and Garrison Cartner, stifled the running game of the Warriors and allowed very little time for their spread offense to develop. Offensively, Lynell Espinosa and Joaquin Passina had several big runs to complement the passing of Mitchell, who also completed passes to Zach Squires and Ethan Beane.

The JV Horns travel to Brady at 6 p.m. Thursday.
