BALLINGER– The Seventh Grade Bearcubs scored early in the game and maintained a closed defense to blank the Hamilton Bulldogs 30-0 in a game played Thursday, November 1, at Bearcat Stadium. With one week left to go in the 2012 football season the Bearcubs are now 4-3.

Dryden Virden opened the scoring for the Bearcubs in the first quarter with a 4-yard run. After the extra point conversion by Virden the Bearcubs were 8-0.

A touchdown before the half by Dylen Crabb and extra point by Sebastian Delgado increased the lead to 16-0.

After the pause Delgado topped a drive for the Bearcubs with a 40-yard run on the right corner of the endzone, and the Bearcubs were 22-0.

During the third quarter and after stopping the Bulldogs offense, the Bearcubs blocked a punt. Divad Briones recovered the ball and rushed the ball into paydirt for the final touchdown of the game. Bryla Perkins made the two-point conversion for the final 30-0.

The Bearcubs will be traveling to Cisco this week for their final game of the season.
