BALLINGER– Today is Election Day with federal, state, district and local elections being held in Runnels County. Along with the General Election for Federal, State and District Offices, in Runnels County there will also be elections for the City of Ballinger, City of Winters, Ballinger Independent School District, Winters Independent School District and the City of Miles.

Citizens in Ballinger will be holding an election for one School Board member. The local election in the City of Ballinger has two registered candidates running for the Single Member District No. 4.

In Winters, the Independent School District will be holding an election for one School Board member. The City of Winters will also be holding an election for the legal sale of all alcoholic beverages of off-premise consumption only, and for the legal sale of mixed beverages in restaurants by food and beverage certificate holders only.

The City of Miles will be holding an election for City Council members.
