Funeral services for Pauline Cox Hopkins, 91, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel, with Minister Michael Light officiating. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Graveside service will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. Another viewing will also be available Friday morning for those who cannot attend on Saturday.
She died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012.
She was born July 24, 1921, in Rosenberg, to Paul Calhoun Cox and Rhoda Rebecca O’Roark Cox. On April 12, 1943, in San Diego, Calif., she was married to Robert E. Hopkins. She worked for C. R. Anthony Company and for several years at Pecos County Memorial Hospital in Fort Stockton. She was a member of Westside Church of Christ in Midland, and formerly a member of Lake Brownwood Church of Christ and Bangs Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son, Ron Hopkins and wife Carol; one grandson; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Katherine Cox of Waco; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; brothers, Jim Cox, Douglas Cox, Arnold Cox, Joe Cox, Charles Cox; brother, Carrol Milburn “Jack” Cox; sisters, Agnes Hughes, Lillian Stevens, Dealva “Dean” Phipps, Norma Stewart; and several cousins, nephews and nieces.
