Coy Lee Miller, 86, of Brownwood, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at his home.

Graveside services officiated by Bobby Machen will be held at 2 p.m. today in the Oakwood Cemetery. Before the funeral service there will be a visitation from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Kimbrough Funeral Home.

Coy Lee was born April 4, 1926, to Albert Forrest and Agnes (Slatton) Miller in Scranton, Texas. Soon after he graduated from high school he entered the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. After his discharge from the Military, he was employed by Lone Star Gas Co. and worked his way up to “manager” where he served for many years. He was a member of the Cisco Rotary Club and Cisco Fire Department for 20 years. He was married to Peggy Lou Nix, who was the love of his life for 66 years at which time she preceded him in death Sept. 22, 2011. He was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church.

Coy is survived by two sons, Coy Wayne Miller and wife Diane of Frisco and Rick Miller and wife Cari of Brownwood; and three daughters, Darlene Bunn and husband Jimmy of Prosper, Kathy Byrd, Jodie Krivanek and Louie all of Mustang, Okla. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A son-in-law, Mart Byrd, preceded him in death.
