COLEMAN ? Funeral services for David Ray Oles, 78, of Coleman will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the Truevine Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart, Mich., under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
He died Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at the Coleman County Medical Center.
He was born Oct. 29, 1934, in Evart, Mich., to Ray and Nellie Moot Oles. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. On Aug. 4, 2000, he was married to Kay Pant in Las Vegas, Texas. He retired as a production supervisor with General Motors in Michigan. He was a member of the True Vine Baptist Church and VFW.
Survivors include his wife, Kay Oles of Coleman; three daughters, Roseann Evans of Florida, Debra Woodward of Michigan and Teresa Hart of Michigan; son, David Oles Jr. of Michigan; four brothers, Clifford Oles of Michigan, Calvin Oles of Michigan, Leonard Oles of Michigan, Jerry Oles of Michigan; four step-children, Samantha Vea, Angela Voyer, Michael Garcia and Anthony Garcia; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother.
