COMANCHE — The Early Longhorns were dealt their first loss of the season Tuesday night, suffering a 62-60 loss at Comanche.
Early (2-1) had used fourth-quarter rallies in each of its first two games to collect victories, but was unable to hold on to its fourth-quarter advantage Tuesday.
The Longhorns were in front 19-14 after one quarter, 29-28 at halftime and 48-42 heading into the fourth period, where Comanche outscored Early 20-12.
Chase Riker led Early with 20 points trailed by 11 each from Jake Fisher and Bubba Reno, nine from Cameron Denison, seven from Josh Benson and two points from Austin Isom.
The Longhorns will host Clyde at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Comanche 56, Lady Horns 43
EARLY — The Early Lady Horns slipped to 4-4 on the season with Tuesday’s 56-43 road loss to Comanche.
Early trailed 18-13 after one quarter, 29-27 at halftime and 43-31 going into the fourth period.
Aubrey Horton paced Early with 20 points followed by six from Emily Harris, five from Janae Williams, four each from Hannah McDaniel and Sydni Thompson and two points apiece from K.J. Elkins and Aspen Escamilla.
The Lady Horns will host Clyde at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
