No peace in the Holy Land

Usually I just shake my head in disbelief when I read Brit Towery's editorials, but I just can't stand by and not comment about his writing about the poor Palestinians and big, bad Israel issue.

Mr. Towery must get his information from Mad Magazine concerning these matters. In the first place, the Palestinians have always been the aggressors by showing hostility toward Israel by continuing to lob rockets and missiles onto and into the heartland of Israel, and sending suicide bombers into the midst of Israelis for years.

Mr. Towery states that “Israel is growing tired of Gaza mortars.” I'm sure that I could become tired of mortars coming through my roof rather quickly.

I can remember reports of Palestinian youth gangs being shot by Israeli soldiers 30-40 years ago. They were not shot for eating cake and ice cream while facing east and praying to Mecca. They were chunking rocks and bricks at the Israeli soldiers. I'm sort of narrow-minded myself about being chunked with rocks and bricks. It's sort of like bringing a knife to a gun-fight as far as I'm concerned.

Personally, I've never heard of one thing that the Palestinians have done for the U.S. They never have any moral or otherwise support for the U.S. in matters that come before the U.N. or anywhere else. Let us not forget how they danced in the streets and passed out candy when the towers fell in New York on 9/11.

I also remember how they destroyed the greenhouses built by Israelis when the Gaza territory was returned to them... instead of using those facilities to feed their people.

Mr. Towery, my support will always go toward God's chosen people, and please remember what the Good Book says regarding Israel, “I will bless those who bless thee, and curse those who curse thee.”

In answer to your question “can peace ever come to the Holy Land?” The answer is no, because the Arabs do not want peace. They only want to drive the Jewish people out... or kill them.
