According to Marsh's report:
Marsh was dispatched at 6 p.m to the 100 block of Briarcrest Drive outside of Early on a report of an intoxicated man who'd been thrown from a horse and was being confrontational with his neighbors over a dog. Marsh found the man who'd been thrown from the horse. The man was standing next to a fence yelling at a dog. The man told Marsh he didn't like the dog because the animal was always barking.
The man was staggering around, the the man's wife told Marsh the man had been home all day drinking whiskey, and was trying to ride the horse into the town to get beer. She said the dog began barking, causing the horse to throw the man to the ground. The woman said her husband was riding the horse because his driver's license is suspended.
