TEAGUE ? Graveside services for Mrs. Justine White, age 91, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Dew Cemetery, with Brother Carl Clark officiating. Visitation, with the family present, was held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bowers Funeral Home.
Mrs. White passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at her residence near Lanely.
She was born and raised in Sulphur Springs and graduated from Sulphur Springs High School. She was married to Frank Sanders and moved all over the country while her husband was in military service. After Mr. Sanders passed away, she was married to Gene Bass and later was married to Emerson “Pops” White and shared 10 years together until being separated by his death. Mrs. White was a seamstress and well known for her sewing talents. She completed two baby blankets just a couple a weeks before she passed away. Mrs. White was also well known as a great cook and loved to prepare meals for her large family. She was a Baptist by faith and had attended Corinth Baptist Church in Dew.
She is survived by three daughters, Shirley Eitel of Blanket, Texas, Sharon Anderson and husband Jimmy of Lanely, Texas, and Kathy Boley amd husband Terry of Trent, Texas; one son, Ray L. Sanders and wife Mary of Lanely; 33 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Long and wife Patty of Loganville, Georgia, and Dennis Earl Long and wife Arlene of Arlington; three sisters, Juanita Mills of Mesquite, Jeanie Carlisle of Brownwood, and Carmen Petros of Blanket; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. White was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Baird; one brother, Dell Wayne Long; one sister, Betty Jo Corley; and one son, Dean LaRay Wilson.
