Charles Albert Parrish, 83, of Mullin, died Tuesday in the Hamilton Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Benny M. Allcorn officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
He was born Nov. 15, 1929, in Tulsa, Okla., the son of Albert and Ethel Alden Parrish. He was married to Barbara Brownwell in 1948. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1947 until 1953. He worked in the construction business most of his life.
He is survived by his soul mate of 65 years, Barbara Parrish of Mullin; daughter, Linda Arnold of Azle; son, Wayne Parrish of Mullin; six grandchildren, Jamie Carothers, Tammy Wike, Tisha Dennington, Tiffany Ray, and Brittany Pierce and Shawn Parrish; 14 great-grandchildren, Dylan Parrish, Jagger Parrish, Hunter Parrish, Connor Carothers, Caleigh Carothers, Camdyn Carothers, Madison Meredith, Joshua Ligon, Jordan Ligon, Tirin Ray, Ethan Ray, Delaney Dickehut, Drake Dickehut and Draden Pierce; brother, Glenn Parrish of New York.
