GRAPE CREEK — The Bangs Lady Dragons had no trouble getting past Grape Creek in their District 6-2A softball opener Tuesday night, coasting to a 17-1 victory.
Leading 1-0 after one inning, Bangs put eight runs on the board in the second and added four runs each in the third and fourth innings.
The Lady Dragons finished with 10 hits, led by two each from Jaylee Roberts, Courtney Owen and Cheyenne Edwards. Maddie Browning recorded a team-high three RBIs followed by two each from Owen and Sarah Garcia.
Charity Sagebiel struck out six in four innings, while Savannah Rosenbusch fanned two batters in her inning of work.
The Lady Dragons (11-4-1, 1-0) will visit Coleman at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Lady Horns 17, Brady 0
BRADY — The Early Lady Horns dominated their District 6-2A softball opener Tuesday night with a 17-0 thrashing of Brady.

The Lady Horns (1-0 in district) will venture to Grape Creek at 4 p.m. Friday in their next district outing.
