Funeral services for Eulis Paul Geron will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013, at the Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bangs Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Geron passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2013, in Brownwood at the age of 91.

Paul was born in the community of Deport, Texas on June 24, 1921, to Charlie N. Geron and Ruby Dillard Geron. He was married to the love of his life Thelda Lee in Loraine, Texas, on Jan. 20, 1942. They lived in Sweetwater and moved to Bangs in 1960.

He was a member of the Avenue D Baptist Church. Paul served in the Pacific aboard the USS South Dakota during World War II. He was employed by Santa Fe Railroad in Brownwood and also farmed.

He is survived by three sons, Jim and wife Connie, Darrell and wife Shirley, all of Bangs, and Tom and wife Linda of Gustine. He is survived by seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one sister; and two brothers.
