Minnie Annie Minzenmayer, 89, of Ballinger passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.
Minnie was born on November 27, 1923 in Taylor, Texas, at home to Henry and Agnes Kuhl. She married Edgar Minzenmayer in Wuthrich Hill, Texas in 1944, and the young couple moved to Runnels County in 1947. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Winters.
Minnie was preceded in death by her husband, a sister, and eight brothers.
She is survived by her children, Dennis Minzenmayer and wife, Janet, of Rowena; Shirley Hambright and husband, Rodney, of Abilene; Michael Minzenmayer and wife, Nancy, of Ballinger; and Brian Minzenmayer and wife, Shamone, of San Angelo. Also surviving are six grandsons, John Minzenmayer and wife, Dora; Paul Minzenmayer and wife, Monica; Jason Hambright and wife, Misty; Justin Minzenmayer and wife, Stephanie; Joshua Minzenmayer, and Kevin Minzenmayer; one granddaughter, Kelsey Minzenmayer; six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A brother, Erwin Kuhl, of Taylor also survives.
Visitation was held Monday, March 4, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services were on Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Winters, with Pastor Alsen Wenzel officiating. Grandchildren served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were David Kuhl, Hugh Campbell, Jerry Holle, Clay Earnshaw, Luther Minzenmayer, Henry Minzenmayer, George Pruser, and Lee Verbillion. Burial followed in the Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are with Lange Funeral Home.
The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Johnís Lutheran Church in Winters, or to the American Heart Association.
