Bangs native Tommy Munster will bring his fun monster creations to the Brownwood Art Association’s Art Center for a truly unique show from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
“This art show is going to be different from any other art show,” Munster said. “If you like fun, monsters and cupcakes, you won’t want to miss this show.”
Munster’s one of kind creations bring the bright colors and vibe of graffiti-style art to his monster creations, which often feature monsters in playful situations.
“Saturday’s art show will feature more than 20 paintings and drawings I’ve done, along with a few random items I’ve painted on,” Munster said.
Gabbie Saucedo, Munster’s friend and pastry chef from Chicago, will be providing cupcakes for Saturday’s event. According to Munster, Saucedo plans to open a bakery in Brownwood.
As a bonus, Munster will be giving away original drawings to the first 15 people who attend the show. Along with his playful artwork, Munster will have a drawing station set up for visitors to draw or color a monster that will go on display during the show. Munster will also put his creative process on display as he plans to do a live painting during the show.
“It’s going to be a night of art and cupcakes,” Munster said. “I encourage everyone to come out to the Art Center for a free night of art — don’t be a fun killer.”
