Barbara Buckelew, 77, passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at Bangs Nursing Home after a brief few days stay. Barbara was born in Grosvenor, Texas, to Tom and Clara Mae Moore. She graduated Bangs High School in 1954 and moved to Fort Worth where she was married to Clayton Buckelew in 1962. Barbara was office manager for various car dealerships during her career. She retired in 2002 and moved back to the Brownwood area.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Clara Mae Moore; husband, Clayton Buckelew; sisters, Hazel Deering, Wanda McCrary, Billie Buzbee and Dorothy Tiemann. She is survived by her sister, Colleen White of Boca Raton, Fla.; and brothers, Tom Moore and wife Deron of Brownwood, Jim Moore and wife Linda of Fort Worth and Troy Moore and wife Linda of Hamshire, Texas. Barbara is also survived by eight nieces; nine nephews; 15 great-nieces; 15 great-nephews; 14 great-great-nieces; and 10 great-great-nephews.

The family is very appreciative of Dr. Amy Tindolís excellent care for Barbara during the past few years. We also wish to express our appreciation to the staff at Bangs Nursing Home for their warm and loving care for Barbara and Dorothy and their thoughtfulness to our family.

Joint memorial services for sisters, Barbara Moore Buckelew of Brownwood and Dorothy Moore Tiemann of Bangs will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013, in Rocky Creek Baptist Church.
