Coming off a 2-3 performance at the Mineral Wells softball tournament this past weekend, the Brownwood Lady Lions will attempt to regain positive momentum in their final outing before the start of District 8-3A softball competition.

The Lady Lions (6-7-1) will play host to former district rival Snyder at 3 p.m. in Brownwood’s pre-district finale.

Through 14 games, the Lady Lions have experienced their share of up and downs as consistency has lacked throughout the season.

However, Brownwood owns a six-game win streak over Snyder dating to 2010 and the Lady Lions will be carrying a 26-game district win streak into 8-3A action, where head coach Amanda Sheffield’s squad will target a fourth consecutive district title.

The Lady Lions will visit Burnet at 7 p.m. Friday in the 8-3A opener.
