This year, the Easter bunny will officially visit on March 31, but for the residents of Early, the he will be at Care Nursing and Rehabilitation a week early.
Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, located at 200 County Road 616, will be hosting their first Early Community Easter Egg Hunt, “Easter Bunny Cares.”
Jodie Armstrong, the marketing and admissions director for Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, said that there are several local businesses that have aided in the planning and the Easter egg hunt itself.
Heartland EMS will be at the event cooking and serving hot dogs. CMS Health Care and Early Blooms and Things will be candy sponsors. Cullen’s Home Town Market is a fruit sponsor. Walgreens will have the Easter Bunny at Care and will provide opportunities for a free 4x6 photo of the children with the Easter Bunny. The Early Chamber of Commerce as well as Early City Mayor, Dr. Robert Mangram will be there to greet those in attendance. Care will be providing their facility, grounds, music, Dr. Peppers and will be a candy and Easter bunny sponsor.
“We are very excited about it,” said Armstrong. “We have such a beautiful surrounding with all the trees. It’ll great for the Easter egg hunt.”
The hunt will have the children divided into age categories. Hunt categories include 4 and under, 5-9 year olds and 9-12 year olds.
The event is free completely free to the community, and Care invites everyone to come and enjoy the festivities.
“We are excited about Easter and spring and to celebrate Easter with our community,” said Armstrong.
