COMANCHE ó Anna M Cox, 91, of Comanche, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013. Graveside services, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 17, 2013, in the Oakwood Cemetery in Comanche with†Jim Hall officiating.†

Anna Marie was born Jan. 14, 1922, in Gustine, to John Forrest and Lola (Caraway) Bolton. After high school, in 1939, she married Willis Steward, who passed away in 1972. She married Gordon Hill in 1977 and he passed away in 2000. In 2005, Anna Marie married her high school beau Perry Cox, who passed away in 2007. She worked at a few odd jobs but mostly enjoyed being a homemaker, taking care of the home and children. Anna Marie was a great cook and greatly enjoyed it, especially for others outside her home. She had a servantís heart, always looking for ways to help others, and was greatly disappointed when she was unable to continue because of health problems. Anna Marie was a wonderful wife and enjoyed being a wife. She was a devoted grandmother and a seamstress. She made clothing for her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
†Anna Marie is survived by daughters Beth Martin of Comanche and Janda Steward of Basalt, Colo.; granddaughter, Annabeth Martin; grandson, Willis Buckingham; stepchildren, Steve Hill and wife of Stephenville, Francis Falls and husband of China Spring, David Cox and wife of San Angelo; stepgrandchildren, Kenneth Hill, Lori Peabody, Julie Dixon, Amy Grimes, Becky Bray, Audra Schultz, Bobby Cox, Noah Cox, Tracie Martin, Robbye Marlar, Joe McDuff Jr., Zachary McDuff; and great-grandchildren, Parker, Hayden, Savannah, Carter, Haden, Britni, Michael, Jimma, Jax, Justin, Cameron, Ryan, Shannon, Braden and Kyndal.
