Fire investigators had not determined the cause of the Monday morning fire at a Lake Brownwood-area mobile home that killed three people.
Brown County Sheriff's officials have identified two of the three victims who were killed in the fire in the 6900 block of Shannon Drive. Sheriff's Capt. Tony Aaron identified the two as Eddie Jowers, 43, and Denman Cain Jr., 42.
Sheriff Bobby Grubbs said investigators had made a tentative identification of the third victim, a woman. Grubbs did not release the name because it is tentative.
The Lake Bridge Volunteer Fire Department responded at 3:15 a.m. to a call of a home fully engulfed in flames in the 6900 block of Shannon Drive.
While the fire's cause is undetermined, Grubbs said the fire "could have been electrical. There were some issues about the electrical service — outlets and so forth."
Investigators have seen nothing to indicate foul play, Grubbs said.
He said Jowers was the primary resident of the mobile home, but he did not know if Jowers rented or owned it.
The sheriff said Cain had been a guest at a party that had lasted into the early morning hours. "He'd come over for the party and for some reason had stayed over," Grubbs said.
The party had involved alcohol, Grubbs said.
