COLEMAN ? Funeral services for Mavis L. Cullins Stoup, 83, of Coleman will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel in Coleman. Burial will follow in Coleman City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She died Monday, March 18, 2013, at CARE Nursing Center in Early.

She was born Feb. 4, 1930, in Valera, to Luther Cullins and Lillie Harrell Cullins. She was married to William E. “Bill” Stoup on Nov. 8, 1957, in Coleman. Mavis worked as a waitress and also worked at the soda fountain at Bowen Drug Store and the Coleman Hotel. She was a member of North Coleman Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Stoup of Coleman; two daughters, Kathy Lindsey of Lubbock, Malvina Brouwer of Early; sister, Louise Howard of Midland; brother, L.H. Cullins of Coleman; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Donnie Lindsey and John Brouwer.
