GOLDTHWAITE ? Funeral services for T.J. Blackburn, 94, of Goldthwaite will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Carlos Cloyd officiating. Burial will follow in Goldthwaite Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

He died Monday, March 25, 2013, in Hamilton.

He was born Dec. 5, 1918, in Clyde, to Frank Blackburn and Emma (Teague) Blackburn. He was married to Wanda Christine Davis on July 9, 1941, in Bertram. He was a Methodist. He was the owner of Blackburn's Variety Store in Goldthwaite and operated A Mott's Variety Store in Lampasas in the early 1940s. He was in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his sons, Jimmy Blackburn and wife Judy of Stephenville and Charles Blackburn and wife Fran of San Antonio; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Davis Blackburn; two brothers; and one sister.
