EVANT — Funeral services for R.G. Callan, 75, of Evant will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 30, at Evant First Baptist Church, with James Hodges officiating. Burial will follow in Murphree Cemetery in Evant. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday at Stacy-Wilkins Funeral Home.
He died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, in Hamilton.
He was born Sept. 28, 1937, in Gatesville, to Raymond Callan and Maudie Inez Hill Callan. He was married to Lois Berry in 1959, in Goldthwaite. He worked for Custom Farming and was a member of the Fairview Church.
Survivors include his children, Raymond Callan and wife Lynn of Evant and Connie Tallent of Belton; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Stevens of Evant and Ann Sellers of Gatesville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Paula Robertson; brother, Jimmy Dean Callan; and sister, Billie Joe Sims.
