Easter Egg Hunt and Children's Easter Party will begin at 2 p.m. Easter Sunday at the Lake Brownwood Lions Club, 6751 N. Hwy. 279. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 2:30 p.m.
Early 4-H will hold a bake sale at 9 a.m. Saturday at Sears. Come buy your Easter dinner deserts.
Two Easter bake sales and Easter basket sales will be held from 10 a.m. until sold out Saturday at Hibbitt Sports at Commerce Square and The Old Taylor Chevron on W. Commerce. Fund-raiser for The Worship Center's Lady's Retreat.
The Zephyr United Methodist and Baptist Churches along with Early United Methodist, will hold a Sunrise Service at 7:30 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31. This will be held at the Zephyr Tabernacle (or in the Methodist Church if weather is inclement.) Anyone seeking a Sunrise service is invited to join.
Wendlee Broadcasting will host the fifth annual Great Easter Egg Hunt and Candy Throw-Down beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at Coggin Park, at the pavilion area. The Easter egg hunt will be broken into age groups and divided in to three separate and independent hunts. Other activities will include face-painting, pony rides, a bounce house, Heartland Cruisers and firetrucks. Bruner Toyota will be cooking hot dogs. Dr. Pepper and the Easter Bunny will be there providing photo opportunities for all in attendance. The Easter egg hunt is free of charge for all activities, including food and refreshments.
“Cats and Kittens not Bunnies or Chicks” Easter adoption event for cats will be held March 25-31, at the Corinne T. Smith Animal Center. All cat adoptions will be $30. Regular business hours.
The Bangs Lions Club will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m. on Easter Sunday, March 31, at the Bangs City Park. There will be more eggs this year, prizes for three lucky kids, a prize for one lucky parent and a visit by the Easter Bunny.
The Coleman County Choir will present an Easter Musical at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31, in the sanctuary of Coleman First United Methodist Church.
This year the group will present “O What A Savior” by Russell Mauldin and Sue C. Smith under the direction of Ann Hargett and accompanied by Jesse Lotspeich on the flute. Narrator will be Richard Hetzel with Robert Lowe as the sound technician. Soloists include Larry Thompson, Leslie Cross, Lorrie Payne, K'Lynn Storm, Carolyn Merriman and Garvin Cox.
Coleman County Choir is sponsored by Coleman First United Methodist Church and Pastor Brad Slaten. Sixty four members from several churches in the area are singing with the group for this musical.

All children from toddlers-fifth graders in the May, area are invited to the fourth annual May Community-Wide Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 30. It will be sponsored by the May First Baptist and May United Methodist Churches and will be held on the grounds of the May United Methodist Church. There will be four different areas: toddlers-4 years old; kindergarten-first graders; second and third graders; and fourth-fifth graders. Bring your basket or sack. Prizes will be given, games played, and refreshments served after the egg hunt. Please register when you get there for a drawing for several DVDs.
