Vivian Coers will bring her unique charcoal creations and more to the Brownwood Art Association’s First Tuesday, which will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. July 2 at the BAA Art Center located at 215 Fisk Ave. Coers is the daughter of Scott and Amanda Coers

“I mostly do art pieces that feature people and hands,” Coers said. “This year, I started taking formal art lessons with Carolyn Wood. I've been able to grow a lot as an artist.”

While most of her work is charcoal, Coers has also done work with acrylic, watercolor, sketching and some sculptures and mixed media. Tuesday’s event will be Coers’ first art show.

Refreshments will be served during the exhibit, and the opportunity to meet other local artists will be available.
