Not only does he sing like him, John Mueller has a striking resemblance to the 1950s icon. Mueller will take the stage during the West Texas Rehabilitation Center’s “Remember When” event, The Buddy Holly Tribute, presented by Central Texas Farm Credit ACA on Aug. 3 at the Brownwood Coliseum.

“John Mueller will be flying in from California for this year’s event,” said Marjorie Cloud, donor relations coordinator at West Texas Rehabilitation Center. “It’s going to be a great show.”

Residents have the option to enjoy a dinner along with the show for $75 each or reserve a table for eight for $500. General admission tickets will be available for the upper Coliseum seats without dinner for $25.

General admission tickets can be purchased in Brownwood at Wendlee Broadcasting, KOXE or the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce. To reserve a table or to purchase dinner tickets, contact Cloud at (325) 660-8338 or via email at mcloud@wtrc.com.

According to a review in The Chicago Tribune, “John Mueller is living proof that Buddy Holly’s legacy lives on…his performance is flawless.” The Los Angeles Times stated, “Buddy rocks with the charismatic John Mueller in the title role.”

Sponsors for the evening include KTAB, Citizens National Bank in Brownwood and Comanche Electric Cooperative. The Pecan Valley Kiwanis Club, Early High School Key Club, Wendlee Broadcasting and KOXE provide additional support for the event.

Proceeds from the Remember When event will support patient services offered by West Texas Rehabilitation Center, which is a non-profit organization formed in 1953 dedicated to providing outpatient rehabilitative care to more than 500 children and adults each day regardless of their financial circumstance.
