A Brownwood attorney was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for assault family violence, Brown County Jail records show.

City Marshal Dean Kilburn arrested Rudy Taylor, 57, an attorney who has had a private practice in Brownwood for several years. Taylor is free on $2,500 bond.

Taylor was arrested in connection with an incident on April 29, records in County Clerk Sharon Ferguson's office show. Taylor is alleged in court records to have pushed his wife, causing her to fall and hit her head.

Taylor could not be reached Thursday for comment. 

Others booked into the Brown County Jail between 8 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. Friday were:
