SANTA ANNA — Funeral services for W.E. “Edd” Hartman, 90, of Santa Anna will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the North Side Church of Christ, with Aaron Lemond officiating assisted by Sam Wilson. Burial will follow in Santa Anna Cemetery, under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Santa Anna.

He died Thursday, July 11, 2013, at Coleman County Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 18, 1922, in Santa Anna, to Isreal E. and Reba Hester Hartman. On Aug. 2, 1941, he was married to Ruby Ester Moore in Santa Anna. He served his country during World War II Army air core and was a member of the North Side Church of Christ. He was a past mayor of Santa Anna, and a 40 year member of Santa Anna volunteer fire department. He owned and operated Hartman Plumbing and Electric Company from 1961 to 1973. He then owned and operated Hartman Construction Company from 1973 until his retirement in 2000.

Survivors include his daughters, Sandra and husband Harry Walker of Bangs, and Cindy and husband Daryl Boyle of Burkett; sons, Eddie and wife Mary Ann Hartman of Lake Brownwood, Stanley and wife Judy Hartman of Santa Anna, and Ronnie and wife Beth Hartman of Lake Brownwood; sister, Winnie Blanscett of Midland; brother, J.B. Hartman of Odessa; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; one granddaughter; one great-grandson; and one great-great-grandson.
