Brownwood police arrested a woman early Thursday morning after officers were dispatched to Brownwood Regional Medical Center on a report that a patient in the emergency room was assaulting emergency room staff.
Kelli Livingston, whose age and town were not available, was booked into the Brown County Jail on charges of assault and resisting arrest, jail records state. Livingston remained jailed Thursday afternoon.
According to officer Brandon Miller's report:
Miller was dispatched to the hospital at 4:08 a.m. and arrived to find a woman in a trauma room who was yelling obscenities at hospital employees who were trying to calm her down. Miller was told Early police had brought the woman in because she had consumed a large amount of alcohol and medication and was telling people she wanted to die.
Two employees said the woman assaulted them as they tried to place her in restraints. Miller told the woman she was under arrest, and the woman began kicking the legs of another officer, Brandon Johnson, as the officers tried to place her in a patrol car. The officers got her in the car and took her to jail.

• Officer Bruce Spruill was dispatched Wednesday to a pizza restaurant on a report of the theft of a cell phone.
• Officer Robert Lee spoke with a woman Wednesday who said her 14-year-old daughter was sexually assaulted by a 23-year-old man. The girl and the man met via social media.
• Deputy Brandon Arnold was dispatched Tuesday to an undisclosed location on U.S. Highway 67 West on a report that someone had been mudding on a privately owned lot and had caused damage to the ground and a septic system.
• Deputy Byron Langley was dispatched Tuesday to Ten Mile Crossing, where a county employee had seen a pickup mudding in a bar ditch. The employee said he saw a woman taking photos of the truck, which was occupied by several children.
