EARLY — The Early Police Department investigated four accidents in less than an hour at the intersection of Early Boulevard and U.S. Highway 183 North Tuesday.

At 12:45 p.m. officers responded to a minor accident where two vehicles turning left from the left turn lane on Early Boulevard onto Highway 183 North. One vehicle cut across the lane and struck the other vehicle turning left.

The second accident occurred at 1:02 p.m. when two vehicles in the outside east bound lane left the red light traveling east. One vehicle stopped to make a right turn was struck from behind. 

Immediately after that accident occurred, a city vehicle struck the second car in that accident from behind.

At 1:33 p.m., officers responded to a reported injury accident where a motorcycle struck a vehicle at the red light of Early Boulevard and U.S. Highway 183 North. Guardian EMS and the Early Fire Volunteer Fire Department responded as one female driving the motorcycle was injured and was transported by Guardian with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses reported a pickup pulling a trailer ran the red light in front of the motorcycle.

All accidents are currently being investigated.
