On Monday, May 27, 19 Brownwood High School Choir students traveled to Pflugerville to compete in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition.

To qualify to compete in the Texas State Solo and Ensemble Competition ate solo and ensemble contest, students were required to sing a difficulty level 1 and receive a 1 or superior rating at the Regional Solo and Ensemble Contest, held at Howard Payne University on Feb. 23.

The following BHS choir students received a 1 or Superior rating at state competition: Emily Dick senior, Aaron Pulley senior, Meredith Underwood senior, Trey Fawcett junior, Shelbi Winstead sophomore, Kalin Young sophomore, Caleb Bostick freshman, and McKenna McDonald freshman.

The BHS Choir department also noted a special thanks to James Ervin for accompanying all of these students on the piano.
