Law enforcement officials are investigating several recent burglaries and thefts including an incident in which a man was seen walking out of Walmart carrying what appeared to be a television or computer.
Brownwood officer Jayme Bowman was dispatched to Walmart Friday on the theft call and located the suspect at Long John Silver's, carrying a computer and two pillows, Bowman's report states.
Bowman arrested Paul Price, 40, of Brownwood, on charges of theft and criminal trespass, jail records state.

Officer Steve Woodard was dispatched Thursday to the 2300 block of Belle Plain, where a woman said a large amount of clothing, jewelry and other personal items had been removed. The woman lives in a home with her father, and she found another woman she doesn't know sleeping in the home. The complainant's property had been secreted in laundry baskets.
Officers investigated three vehicle burglaries that occurred early Friday morning in the 2500 block of Durham and 1000 block of Avenue K.
Officer Brandon Miller was dispatched Friday to the 2700 block of First, where tools were taken from the bed of a pickup.
Bowman was dispatched Sunday to the 2200 block of Avenue E, where tools were taken from a front porch.
Officer Gary Villalpando was dispatched Sunday to the 100 bloke of C.C. Woodson on a reckless driving call. Villalpando arrested Keith Driskill, 21, of May, on a DWI charge.
Officer Harold Thomas was dispatched Sunday to the 1800 block of Sixth on a domestic disturbance call. Thomas arrested Joe Knowles, 31, of Brownwood, on charges of injury to a child/elderly/disabled, assault and violating a protective order.
Bowman was dispatched Saturday to the 1100 block of Magnolia, where someone took eight drill batteries.
Officer Robert Lee was dispatched Saturday to Walmart, where he cited a person for theft under $50.
Officer Bruce Spruill was dispatched Saturday to the 1900 block of Coggin on a report that someone stole an electric air compressor.
Villalpando and officer Doug Hurt were dispatched Saturday to the 2500 block of Avenue D on a domestic disturbance. Officer Doug Stephens made contact with a woman involved in the disturbance and arrested Mary Reid, 33, of Brownwood, on an assault charge.
Villalpando was dispatched Sunday to the Allsup's at 1019 Coggin, where a man took a 30-pack of beer.
Officer Brandon Johnson was dispatched Saturday to the 1800 block of 10th on a report that several items and $450 were taken from a vehicle.
Spruill and Stephens made a traffic stop early Monday morning and arrested two people on charges of possession of marijuana. Their identities were not immediately available.
Deputy Kelly Marsh was dispatched Thursday to a home on FM 2940, where a man said a homemade utility trailer, made from the bed of a 1930s-era pickup, was taken.
Deputy Jim Cornelius took a report from a woman who said a checkbook had been stolen and at least nine checks have been forged and passed. Six of the nine have been accounted for, tattling $731.
Deputy Terry Sliter was allowed into a home on Hillcrest in Early to search for a wanted person. Sliter arrested Megan George, 28, of Early, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and evidence tampering.
