BRADY — Funeral services for Norma Fain Braly, 84, of Houston will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at Brady Presbyterian Church in Brady, with the Rev. Regina Maas officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. prior to services at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.
She died Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, in Houston.
She was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Parker County/Weatherford, to Douglas Wythe Fain and Mary (Barber) Fain. She was married to Walter Eugene Braly on Aug. 31, 1952, in Weatherford. She worked as a McCulloch County Home Demonstration Agent for several years.
Survivors include her sons, Walter Grant Braly, M.D., and wife Lisa Hansen of Houston, Houston Fain Braly, Ph.D., and wife Laura Cazabon of Austin, and William Joel Braly and wife Betsy Wolan of Houston; eight grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Alice Braly Gibson, Patricia O'Rourke Braly, and Diana Dugat Braly.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers, John Wythe Fain, J.D., Harold Barber Fain, M.D., Douglas William Fain, and Robert Henry Fain, M.D.; and four sisters, Mayna Fain Bode, Ruth Fain Greer, Ann Fain Rea, and Betty Fain Wright, R.N.
