BALLINGER The Early Longhorns needed overtime, but left Ballinger with a 51-45 District 6-2A victory Tuesday.

The Longhorns (17-7, 8-4) led 13-9 after one quarter and 24-23 at halftime, trailed 34-32 going into the fourth period and pulled even at 42 at the end of regulation.

Chase Riker tallied 13 points followed by Josh Benson with 11, Brady King with eight, Jakob Morgan with six, Bubba Reno with five, Colin Walker with four and Chris Johnston and Jonathan Moore with two points each.

May Tigers 70, Rising Star 44

MAY The May Tigers improved to 14-2 overall and 9-0 in District 15-A Division II action with a 70-44 win over Rising Star Tuesday night.

Brant Harris led the Tigers with 25 points followed by Matthew Enriquez with nine, Kendrick Aguerro with eight, Kelton Mote with seven, David Woods with six and Isaac Williams, Aaron Sadler and Justin Howard with five points apiece.

May Lady Tigers 49, Rising Star 25

MAY The May Lady Tigers evened their District 15-A Division II mark at 5-5 and climbed to 15-11 for the season with a 49-25 win over Rising Star Tuesday.

Lacy Cox poured in 26 points for May followed by Shelby Honea with 12, Madison Hayes with six, Nichole Wilson with three and Shayla Stephens with two points.

Wall 70, Lady Dragons 27

WALL The playoff-bound Bangs Lady Dragons dropped their regular season finale to No. 7 Wall, 70-27, Tuesday night.

Kinsie Ward scored nine points for the Lady Dragons followed by eight from Callie Sprowls, three from Kady Kyle and two each from Charly Lipsey and Liz Pettit.

Bangs (16-14, 10-4) will open the playoffs against Kermit at a time and location to be determined.

Wall 69, Dragons 34

WALL The Bangs Dragons suffered a 69-34 District 6-2A road loss at No. 7 Wall Tuesday.

Josh Truelove scored 10 points followed by nine from Dalton Johnson, five from Willie Calvin, four from Chayne Burton and two points each from Keegan Hall, Frankie Smith and Brayden James.

Ballinger 69, Lady Horns 40

BALLINGER The Early Lady Horns finished their season at 5-20 and 4-10 in district with a 69-40 loss at Ballinger Tuesday.

Janae Williams tallied 19 points for Early trailed by Andee Jo Rose with six, Samantha Garrett and Leslie Picasio with four, Aspen Escamilla with three and K.J. Elkins and Rylie McGinnis with two points apiece.
