COMANCHE ? Visitation will be held for George Walter Reynolds, 98, from 6-7 p.m. Thursday at Comanche Funeral Home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Hollywood Hills, Calif.

He died Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2014, in Comanche County.

He was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Brown County, to Charles Hardy and Cornelia Elizabeth (Medcalf) Reynolds. On Oct. 2, 1936, he was married to Cleo Marie Gossett. He was employed in the aviation industry during World War II constructing B-25 and P51 aircraft. At the end of the war he joined both the Los Angeles Police Force for two years and Beverly Hills Police Force for eight years. After resigning from the police force in 1955, he was employed with Service Air Company. He retired in 1981.

Survivors include his two nieces, June Jones and husband Reese of Banning, Calif., and Jessie Carroll and husband Charles of Comanche; one great-niece, several great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews as well as one great-great-great-niece, and one great-great-great-nephew.

He was preceded in death by his wife; son; brother; and sister.
