Tommy Alan Sedam Sr., 75, of Lake Proctor, Texas, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, in Deleon, Texas. His family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Mr. Sedam was born on Dec. 26, 1938, in Monongahel, Penn., to Glenn and Dorothy Gillingham Sedam. He was married to Theda (Jodi) Owen Sedam on March 8, 1981, in Bay City, Texas. Tommy and his father owned a Daily Newspaper for 31 years. He was also a builder of homes. Tommy loved sports and excelled at all. He loved baseball and golf.

He is survived by his wife, Jodi Sedam of Lake Proctor; nine children, Tommy Sedam Jr. of Bay City, Texas, David Sedam of Houston, Texas, Leigh Ann Sedam of Austin, Texas, Hank Sedam of Chicago, Ill., Dondi and David Field of Lake Proctor, Texas, Lesa and Don Paul of Brownwood, Tracy Sciba of Bay City, Texas, Leah and Michael Fojtik of Bay City, Texas, and Dana and Bill Jones of Dickerson, Texas; and two sisters, Linda McCulogh of Pennsylvania and Dr. Cindy Sedam of Springfield, Ill. He has 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Heartland Funeral Home of Early, Texas, is in charge of arrangements.
