Linda Ahmed, 58, of Brownwood passed away at her home Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Victory Life Church located at 701 CC Woodson Rd. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Brownwood Funeral Home located at 2512 Belle Plain.

Linda was born Sept. 4, 1955, in Ringling, Okla., to the parentage of Foy and Virginia Poage. Linda attended public schools in Ringling. Soon after High School she joined the U. S. Army and served from 1979 to 1982 and was stationed at Fort Hood in Killeen, Texas. She relocated to Brownwood in 1987 and served as the Commander for the American Legion in Bangs for many years. Linda was married to Ahmed Ahmed in Brownwood on July 28, 2003. Linda loved helping with the family business Sweet Oasis and managed it for 11 years. Most recently she started her own business, Dream Catcher Real Estate, as a Real Estate Broker. Linda was very family oriented, and loved her family. In her spare time you could find her sewing and quilting, and on the nice days she loved to go fishing.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ahmed Ahmed; two daughters, LaPlesa Stalworth, Lucinda and husband Antonio Ruth; five sons, Lucius Stalworth Jr, Lucius III and wife Lacie Stalworth, Lucius IV and wife Stori Stalworth, Sherrouse Moore, and Jessie Moore.

Linda was preceded in death by mother, Virginia Poage; and brother, Allen Poage.
