Funeral services for Rebecca Garza, 50, of Brownwood will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Brownwood. Burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Visitation for Mrs. Garza will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, with Rosary to be held at 7 p.m. at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
“This is eternal life: That they may know You, the only true God, And the One You have sent - Jesus Christ. I have glorified you on earth by completing the work You gave me to do. Now, Father, glorify me in Your presence with that glory I had with You before the world existed.” John 17: 3-5.
The Lord opened up his arms and received an angel on Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in Brownwood after a long battle with illness.
Rebecca was born Sept. 14, 1963, in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico, to Jose and Soledad Zamarippa Rosales. She was married to Frank Garza, Jr. on Aug. 28, 1983, in Brady, Texas. She was a homemaker and loved to garden as well as spend time outdoors. She was a member of St. Mary’s Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Brownwood.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Garza Jr., of Brownwood; daughters, Laura Castro and husband Fabian Castro of Tyler, Monica Garza of Brownwood and Jacqueline Garza of Brownwood as well as four grandchildren; Damien Castro, Caden Villarreal, Crystin Villarreal and Aviana Castro.
Mrs. Garza was preceded in death by her parents, Soledad Rosales and Jose Zamarripa.
